Henna Light Mountain Henna is 100% henna! Each color is blended by their experts and consists of different proportions of the 3 main henna colors, Neutral, Red and Black (natural black, not artificial black!).
Mix 1 or 2 oz. Light Mountain Henna with 4 to 5 ounces of boiling water(distilled is best) in a glass, ceramic of plastic bowl. NO METAL UNTENSILS SHOULD BE USED! (NO METAL SPOONS, CUPS, BOWLS ETC.) Stir with a wooden or plastic spoon to a workable oatmeal consistency. Let it set for 2-3 minutes to thicken and stablize. Add hot water if mixture thickens during application. Apply cream or vaseline to hairline, ears and neck. The fine downy strands of facial hair and around your hairline are more porous and are generally lighter causing the henna application to appear lighter at the hairline. Section clean, dry hair using side partings. Make sure henna is cool enough to handle when applying THOROUGHLY coat all strands working from the head outward to the tip of the hair. When all the hair is completely coated, pour remaining henna over hair and rub in with massaging motion. Cover hair with the henna plastic hat and heat with air of blow dryer for 15-45 minutes, depending on shade desired (heat is not absolutely necessary, but will enhance red shades). Always check your color at the halfway stage by cleaning strands of hair to ensure good results. External heat source such as the sun, a sun lamp or hot towels may be used. Be careful not to melt plastic hat. After letting the henna set, rinse out with water, then shampoo with a pH balanced shampoo until all henna is removed. You're done!
