
Botanical Name: Callitris intratropica (R.T. Baker & H.G. Smith)
Family: Cupressaceae.
Synonyms: Northern Australian Cypress Pine.
Origin: Northern Australia, predominantly the Northern Territory. Plantations are within a 80 km radius of Darwin NT and on the Melville Island.
Botanical Description: A medium to large sized tree around 15 to 45-meters (140 ft) high, with highly fragrant wood.
Oil Extraction: Essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the wood. The oil is clear, deep-cobalt blue slightly viscous liquid.
Aroma Profile: The top note is sweet-woody, fragrant. The body note is sweet-floral woody with spicy-clove undertone. The dry-out is lingering faint woody, sweet and fragrant.
Major Constituents: Guaiol, β-eudesmol, γ-eudesmol, bulnesol, guaiazulene.
Adulterants: Copaiba balsam.

Blends well with: Brilliant fixative properties. Citrus scents, woody notes and green scents.
