Synonyms: Eucalyptus, narrow leaved peppermint.
Origin: Native to Australia.
Botanical Description: A tall evergreen tree up to 75-meter (232 ft.) high. Has opposite, lanceolate green leaves with white flowers and smooth bark.
Oil Extraction: Essential oil is obtained by stem distillation of the leaves of the mature trees. The oil is clear, colorless to pale yellow mobile liquid. Yield 1%.
Aroma Profile: The top note is fresh, powerful camphoraceous, sweet. The body note is diffusive, penetrating. The dry-out is less tenacious, camphoraceous.
Major Constituents: 1,8-cineole (60 to 70%), α-terpineol, terpinen-4-ol, α-pinene, p-cymene, limonene.
Adulterants: Other species of eucalyptus.

Aromatherapy: Purifying, invigorating, cooling.
Blends well with: Cedarwood, lavender, lemon, rosemary, thyme, marjoram.
