Natural Cure for Endometriosis

Endometriosis is one of the most mysterious and serious health problems affecting millions of women all across the globe. It refers to a condition where the tissues from a woman’s uterus migrate to other organs of the body, like the bladder, the fallopian tubes, the bowel, the cervix or even to the other body-parts outside the pelvic region. These tissues then cause swelling and bleeding in the various body parts ever month. The exact causes of endometriosis have still not been determined. The common symptoms associated with endometriosis are pain during intercourse, irregular periods, excessive bleeding, severe menstrual cramps and abdominal pain. Unfortunately, diagnosing endometriosis is not always easy, as some women do not display any of these symptoms. Moreover, most of the symptoms can be associated with other pelvic inflammatory diseases too.

Treatment of endometriosis

There is no specific treatment that can cure endometriosis. This condition is believed to be caused by estrogen and other hormones and therefore, in order to treat endometriosis, these hormones need to be kept in balance to render the disease inactive. Surgical options like laparoscopy could also be considered for treating endometriosis. However, there is a possibility that even after going through the surgical treatment for endometriosis, the tissues could grow in the same spot again. Therefore, more women now prefer opting for natural cures for endometriosis as well as the home remedies for endometriosis like ice packs, ginger tea and exercising to get relief from the pain. The use of certain herbs has been known to alleviate the pain and discomfort caused by endometriosis. Herbs like Yellow Dock, Burdock, Dandelion, Red Raspberry, Dang Gui, Black Cohosh, Yarrow, Feverfew, Wild Yam, Cramp Bark, Chamomile and Valerian are often used to alleviate any menstrual-related problems. A proper intake of the required nutrients like Vitamin C, Vitamin E and most importantly Vitamin B should be taken either in the form of foods or supplements. Apart from following natural endometriosis treatments, it is also advisable to make a few dietary changes and avoid certain foods like dairy products, red meats, soy, processed food, wheat and beverages like tea, coffee, colas and alcohol. A healthy diet should contain a lot of fruits, vegetables, eggs, oats and chicken. Foods that are rich in Omega-3 fatty acids are also good for endometriosis.

However, before taking any supplement or natural remedy for endometriosis, it is strongly recommended that a doctor be first consulted.
