Can I order tax exempt from EdibleNature.com?

Based on current law regarding purchases made by you over the Internet, you are not charged sales tax on any purchase if you reside outside California. Because EdibleNature.com is based in California for the purposes of Sales & Use Tax, we will collect sales tax on all California orders on products purchased that apply. (Some teas and other non-prepared food products are not taxed in the state of California).

 

I didn't get everything I ordered. Where's the rest of my stuff?

From time to time, an item you order may go out of stock during the processing of your order. In order to provide the fastest order processing and shipping while still offering the most competitive prices on the web possible to our customers, we automatically ship all available items on your order (partial ship). When that happens, you will be notified of out of stock or discontinued items via e-mail when your order is packaged, and/or on your packing slip or invoice. You may reorder out of stock items at a later date.

 

Does Ediblenature charge any additional fees?

Like any small business, we operate on a small profit margin, but we still have to pay fees to remain in business and offer our customers the convenience of options they expect when shopping on the internet. In order to continue to provide the best products and conveniences and stay in business, Ediblenature may add fees that we are charged by our service providers. The fees currently in effect on our store are:

  • Minimum Order Handling Fee ($1.99): If your order subtotal is less than $25, Ediblenature charges a fee to cover the cost of shipping materials and order handling. We hope this will also encourage our customers to save items in their cart to build a bigger order in order to save money on shipping fees per order.

 

My order is over $75, why am I still being charged for shipping?

In order to qualify for free shipping, your cart must meet the following criteria as stated under our free shipping terms (the cart will automatically apply free shipping when it meets these criteria):

  • Your order is over $75.00
  • Your order is under 10 lbs.
  • Your order is shipping to the contiguous 48-states. (Hawaii, Alaska and foreign shipments do not qualify)
  • Your order must be shipping to a physical address. We cannot ship to a P.O. Box when using FREE Shipping.
The shipping weight is listed on each item's detail page and most time people do not realize the one pound bulk bags are one pound by volume and often weigh more than one pound by weight.

 

Cancelling or Modifying Orders

We process your order immediately in order to ship your items as quickly as possible. Once an order is sent to the warehouse for processing or has shipped, we cannot make any modifications or cancel your order. You will not be able to make any of the following changes: add items, remove items, change the shipping address, or cancel the order. You can check to see if your order has already been sent to the warehouse for processing or has been shipped by logging into Your Account. If you are not able to catch the order in time, and still don't want the items you receive, you may return the order to us. Please review our return policy. If you would like to cancel an Order please email us immediately.

 

Refund Policy

We are dedicated to offering you the best value and service. If you have any problem with your order, simply return the items within 30 days of receipt for a refund. It's a no hassle, no worries philosophy that helps to ensure 100% satisfaction when you shop with us. Please note that we only accept returns on items that are unopened items in their original product packaging, unless the product is damaged or defective. If the return is the result of our error, the cost of the return shipping is free. Once your return has been received, we will process your refund.

How secure is buying from you?

All orders placed over the internet are processed using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. Credit card information is digitally encrypted during the transmission process. It cannot be read in transit. We assure you that we do not sell, share or exchange our customers personal information or e-mail addresses to anyone, nor do we participate in SPAM or junk e-mailing. Looking for help with a credit card charge you don't recognize?

EdibleNature cares very much about your protection. We are an honest merchant and do the right thing for our customers and vendors because we believe what goes around, comes around. To that end, we take every step available to us to ensure your transactions are private and protected. We also put our full attention towards quickly resolving ANY issue relating to credit card/debt card transactions - which is why we encourage you to immediately contact us if you see any suspicious or unrecognizable transaction from us on your account. What about the risk of using Debt Cards instead of a Credit Card?

As one of Ediblenature's customers, we want to make sure you are aware of the banking issues involving the use of debit cards. To do this we will need to explain the processing of your order once placed and the processing of your debit card:
  1. After we receive your order our system automatically will process your debit card to obtain a pre-authorization. This initial authorization ensures there are sufficient funds available to pay for the order plus any costs associated with the order.
  2. When this pre-authorization is approved by your bank, only then will we process your order and prepare it for shipping. Since it is a debit card, your bank will "hold" the pre-authorized funds in your bank account until the final sale goes through after shipping.
  3. After we have prepared your order for shipping we will process the debit card as part of the final sale process (plus shipping costs).
  4. Once your bank processes the final sale, and depending on your bank's policy, the pre-authorization amount will be cleared by your bank and replaced by the final sale amount.
  5. However please be aware that not all banks clear the pre-authorization for a debit card on the same day the final sale goes through. It may take days before your bank will clear these pre-authorizations. This may tie up your money in your bank account and could cause an overdraft and resulting overdraft fees.
Because of the above, Ediblenature strongly suggests the use of a credit card instead of a debit card. In this way you can still charge your order, have additional time to pay the credit card, and eliminate any chance of overdraft fees associated with purchasing by debt card. Ediblenature is not responsible for a customer's decision to use a debit card, or for any overdraft fees that may occur based on the customer's bank policies. Using a Debt Card: What are the issues with deferred posting of offline debit?

To the consumer, a debit transaction is perceived as occurring in real-time; i.e. the money is withdrawn from their account immediately following the authorization request from the merchant, which is the case when making an online debit purchase. However, when a purchase is made using the "credit" (offline debit) option, the transaction merely places an authorization hold on the customer's account; funds are not actually withdrawn until the transaction is reconciled and settled to the customer's account, usually a few days later. This is in contrast to a typical credit card transaction; though it can also have a lag time of a few days before the transaction is posted to the account, it can be many days to a month or more before the consumer makes repayment with actual money.

Because of this, in the case of a benign error by the merchant or bank, a debit transaction may cause more serious problems (e.g. money not accessible; overdrawn account) than in the case of a credit card transaction (e.g. credit not accessible; over credit limit). This is especially true in the United States, where writing "hot checks" is a crime in every state, but exceeding your credit limit is not. Expiration Dates

We stock thousands of top selling products in our warehouse. If the items you ordered are these top sellers, your order should ship by the next business day. The lower selling specialty products are ordered in from the manufacturers to ensure you receive only the freshest products. Products sit in our warehouse on average less than 2 weeks, about a tenth of the industry average.

 

Health Questions

While we health & nutrition staff to advise our company, we cannot provide medical recommendations regarding your use of the products we sell. Information on this site is provided for informational purposes and is not meant to substitute for the advice provided by your own physician or other medical professional. You should not use the information contained herein for diagnosing or treating a health problem or disease, or prescribing any medication. If you have or suspect that you have a medical problem, promptly contact your health care provider right away.

 

Refunds & Returns

Non-Returnable Items

For your safety, we do not accept returns of the following items:
  • Any medical equipment or supplies including but not limited to medical masks, syringes, cholesterol monitors, glucose monitors and thermometers for reasons not due to our error.
  • Any Sex & Sensuality item;
  • Any item that is not in its original condition, is damaged, or is missing parts for reasons not due to our error;
  • Any item that is not returned within 30 days of shipment. 
 

Shipping & Delivery

Tracking Your Order

You will be sent an order confirmation email within 24 hours after your order was submitted for processing. This email will include the order number and the email address associated with the order. When your package ships, you will be sent a shipping confirmation email with a package tracking number and instructions. If you do not receive an email confirmation, login in to Your Account where you can check the status of your order, print a copy of the email confirmation and get your tracking number. Also check your Spam Folder to see if the confirmation was routed there by mistake. Note: To speed delivery, shippers may not location-scan all of their shipments. When shipping volume is high, packages are processed in bulk, and the first time a package is scanned may be upon arrival at a regional hub near the destination, or even when the package is delivered. If you don't see any tracking data for your shipment, and your order status is set to "shipped", please do not be concerned. Some shipments, such as United States Parcel Post shipments, are not trackable. Once you have your tracking number, you may go to the carrier's website to see where your package is or visit our Order Tracker page.

 

Undeliverable Orders

Occasionally packages are returned to us as undeliverable. When the carrier returns an undeliverable package to us, we issue a refund based on our Returns & Refund policy. Our carriers may deem a package undeliverable for one of the following reasons:
  • Item is too big for a P.O. box
  • Incorrect Address: If the address is incorrect or outdated, the package is typically returned to us by the carrier or the unintended recipient. Please double-check your address carefully when placing a new order.
  • Carrier Does Not Deliver to the Address: The U.S. Postal Service does not deliver to some addresses. Also, if you have put in a request for address forwarding, please note that the U.S. Postal Service only forwards first-class mail and magazines, and does not forward packages.
  • Failed Delivery Attempts: Most of our carriers make three attempts to deliver a package.
  • Refused by Recipient: If an order is refused by the recipient, your order will be refunded within 30 days after the package is received back to our warehouse. Shipping fees and restocking fees will apply unless you were instructed to refuse the order by Customer Service and you have an RGA number.

 

What type of packaging materials do you use?

We have looked into several options for packing materials, including peanuts made from plant based starches. Unfortunately, corn and wheat, the most common plant starches used for this application, are both considered food allergens. Several of our customers suffer from severe food allergies which would make using peanuts from an allergen source to pack their food orders dangerous and irresponsible. As an alternative to the biodegradable peanuts, we have sourced packing peanuts that are made from 100% recycled polystyrene that are 100% recyclable through FP International. In 2004, FP International recycled over eight million pounds of expandable polystyrene in the U.S. and another three million pounds in the U.K. When you receive an order from us, simply store the peanuts and return them to any UPS or FedEx shipping station.

How do I search for products on your store?

Doing a search on EdibleNature is easy. Simply type one or more search terms (the words or phrases that best describe the product you want to find) into the search box at the top of every page or into the Advance Search window to the right and hit Enter on your keyboard. Be sure you are spelling the herb or name accurately as some herbs have multiple spellings. Check Google for proper spelling if you're not sure. Do you offer Discounts & Coupon Codes?

Sometimes EdibleNature will issue coupon offers to its e-mail subscriber list. If you have signed up to be on our email list then you should be able to access our monthly email which features promotions and specials..  If you aren’t currently subscribed you can sign up on our Newsletter Sign Up page. Also, you can “like” us on Facebook for additional offers and promotions are announced to FaceBook only friends.

 

I want to place an order from Canada, how do I do it?

We accept Canadian orders right on our website or if you prefer, you can simply complete the online form.

 

Are there any restrictions to EdibleNature discounts?

Yes. Read the information on each promotion carefully to understand the nature of the offer. Most discounts and coupon codes are not valid on previous purchases and are restricted to one per customer.  Coupons may not be combined with other offers and FREE Shipping offer cannot be combined with other discounts of promotions.

 

Even with your great prices, do you offer wholesale discounts?

Congratulations on finding EdibleNature.com - You are already saving 30-40% on thousands of quality eco-friendly products! EdibleNature prices are so low, we cannot further discount our products. However, we do offer additional discounts when purchasing in bulk quantities ~ you need only order in quantities of 3 or more and the discounts will be automatically applied to your cart. For even greater savings you can buy 12 or more and save even more money.

 

Can I receive a catalogue of all your great products?

At this time we do not offer a paper catalogue. Since we are an eco-conscious online e-tailer we feel we are saving trees and helping the environment to boot ~ hope you agree! Perhaps our shop by category page will help you to narrow down your search time. We believe that natural and organic products, created using environmentally responsible manufacturing techniques and in accordance with the principles of conservation and safe-land use, best benefit our customers, employees, and the world-at-large.

 

I am a California Retailer. How do I purchase tax exempt from Ediblenature.com?

We can set you up for tax exempt in California if you simply scan and email us your current California Reseller Certificate (customerservice@ediblenature.com). Your first order must be at least $250 in order to get tax exempt status. You need to also have registered an account with us on our website and provide us with your user name so we can complete your tax exempt status. If you still need to choose your user name and password, simply go here.

 

Do you provide bulk discounts to small business owners?

EdibleNature does offer even greater discounts when purchasing in bulk quantities and, therefore, we do sell our quality products to many small business owners. Many bulk packaged products are available in 25 pound box quantities - if you let us know which products you are interested in, we will check for you as they are not usually listed on our public site.

 

The product picture looks different that I remember - What Gives?

The manufacturers of our products are always innovating and updating their packaging. If their products change ingredients, then it is normal practice for the manufacturer to provide a new UPC number and it is deemed a new and different product. If they change their marketing, packaging, size or count, frequently this does NOT result in a UPC change and it is considered the same product with updated packaging. We are constantly working to keep our website as up to date as possible to match these changes but occasionally you might see a product picture, description or size with older packaging. If you do and are concerned with this, please email us prior to purchase and we will confirm the item for you.
