How to Search for Products at EdibleNature

Doing a search on EdibleNature is easy. Simply type one or more search terms (the words or phrases that best describe the product you want to find) into the search box at the top of every page or into the Advance Search window to the right and hit Enter on your keyboard.  

Be sure you are spelling the herb or name accurately as some herbs have multiple spellings.  Check Google for proper spelling if you're not sure.

Search by Ingredient: You can search for a supplement or product by a key ingredient. Our site is indexed on all descriptions and many key ingredients are in those titles and descriptions. For instance, if you read an article about DHEA and are interested in what products we carry containing this ingredient, simply type in “DHEA” in the top search box and your results will appear. Be sure to click on the “More Results” link at the bottom of each page to view your search results in their entirety. You can further refine this list by adding another descriptor just like you would in your favorite search engine (i.e. “DHEA cream”). And just like your search engine, the most relevant searches will be featured at the top of the search results.

Search by Product Type: If you are interested in finding all products relating to a product, such as Aromatherapy, you can simply go to the Search by Health Interest drop down box and find the category labeled Aromatherapy for a list of our featured Aromatherapy products. Additionally, to get a more complete list you may type in the word “Aromatherapy” in the top Search box and get a very extensive list. You can further refine this list by adding another descriptor just like you would in your favorite search engine (i.e. “Aromatherapy Oil”). And just like your search engine, the most relevant searches will be featured at the top of the search results.

Search by the Brand Name: You can also be effective searching by description. Our site is indexed on all descriptions and it's most effective when you enter the first few words of the item description preceded by the brand name. For example, entering:

"Ancient Secrets Evergreen Forest Mineral Bath" is preferable to "Evergreen Forest Mineral Bath." But if that's all you know about the item, our system is pretty darn good at finding it under simply: "Forest Mineral Bath." Just keep in mind, the more specific you can be, the better and faster our search agent can identify the exact item you are looking for.

Search by the Bar Code: We have recently added the ability to search for items on our site by UPC code. This can add convenience when you are looking to re-purchase items you have already bought.

Looking at the bottle you want to identify, read the center 10 digits of the product label's barcode. That is the UPC number. We're not concerned about the left most Number System number or the right most Check Digit number. Just the center 10 digits. The first five of those digits of the center section are the manufacturer's code. The second five numbers are the product code.

Using this information you can enter the 10 digit bar code into our search window and if it's on our site, you'll find it instantly.
